President Obama

November 5th, 2008 by Justin

I am sitting at Main Street Bar in Richardson Texas during the lunch hour where regulars are generally “old school” Republicans.

My conservative “aqcuantices” are talking about the recent election results, namely Barack Obama’s win over Senator John McCain. The attitute is generally positive even though these are individuals that I expected to reserve racist opinions towards our newly elected African American President.

I am encouraged by their respect and support, even among conservative Christian congregations such as Zion Church of Garland, TX.

We are entering into a new era of Politics in the U.S. where issues of race and religion will no longer influence election results.

I have great renewed confidence in the abilility of Americans to overcome this ideology of of our past in a sincere effort to restore this nation to the beacon of freedom and rationalism that founders like Thomas Jefferson envisioned.

I congratulate everyone who voted for Barack, and hope with the new President that our country will support and encourage his rightouse cause of improving the visage of America to the world while assisting the lower class America and increasing their opportunity to succeed.

Barack is a product of this ideal and I BELIEVE, and will keep him accountable for pursuing this dream, which is an extension of the ideals of Mr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mr. Kings’ ideals are and will become the ideal of the general public. The victory of Barack Obama introduces the opportunity to fulfill those ideals and the support of the American public majority which eagerly desire an atmosphere of equality in American politics.

I am cautiously excited about the effect of this election and encourage Mr. Obama to deliver on his promises through the campaign.

I will faithfully provide my opinion in the coming months with my opinion on the new President’s decisions and resolutions.
